Capital One GW Letter

I've read a bunch of the great articles and success stories with GW letters here on the boards and I figured it was time I give them a shot!

I have a 4 year old chargeoff with capital one, which I paid in full after the fact.  Its listed as "potentially negative" by experian.  Should I GW them in hopes of removing it or at least changing the status to something other than negative?  I actually have a current credit card with capital one which doesn't report to experian at all. -- Go figure

Some of the info reported in the account is inaccurate and I have old statements that would prove that but it was indeed charged off and that's my fault.  So I haven't attempted to contact any CRAs about the account yet.  Would it be better to work with the CRAs or to GW capital one?

Thanks in advance,

-RebuildingGuy

Sorry for the late response

Yes GW's are in order but I also have a question.

How old is the CO and who is listing it on your CR's CAP1 or CA?

Ok two questions in one Lol

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: Capital One GW Letter

I disputed the accounts on their incorrect merits with the CRA's.  I'll try the GW next if need-be.
