I have sent about 2 GW letters out in the past week and sending one more out tomorrow to Capital One's address in UT, ATTN: General Correspondence. Who has had success with this address?
I don't really have any known GW friendly CA's or OC's on my CR's, but when and if I decide to do a GW blitz it will be multiple letters to as many known addresses and people as I can along with e-mails. Don't just send a few to one address and be content, gather up as many addresses as you can across all credit boards and send them til you feel you've exhausted that option.
Call Capital one, do it late on a Friday, and ask for a manager. If the first one won't do it, keep on calling back. I got a GW after 4 calls. Letters got me nowhere.
Jandj80.. Did you call cap1 back door number or the toll free # and just speak to any customer rep? I called and got a big NO. Scare to call back..
I called 800-903-3637. Asked for a manager right away, and explained that I made one error, I have been a good customer for years. I complimented them on their great customer service, etc., and told them I planned on staying with them for years to come. It took a while, but she agreed eventually. Keep trying. You won't get the same rep twice.
