Capital One QS M/C CLI By Phone! *UPDATE*

Hi all,

I wanted to report some info about my Capital One CLI for others who are waiting for theirs.

Activated Platinum MC  1/22/2016-$500 credit line

PC'd to QS MC, no annual fee 2/25/2016 via online chat (with bal of $450) *hadn't even made first payment yet

First payment due 3/6/2016-pd $200 3/3/2016

Luv button-3/6/2016-account too new document received

Luv button-3/11/2016-account too new document received

Luv button 3/18/2016-account too new document received

2nd payment due 4/6/2016-paid $300 on 3/19/2016

Decide to call automated system tonight 3/22/2016 and received $1,000 CLI!!

I'm wondering if I would have received the increase had tried online...!?!?

Hi all,

Quick update....

Tonight my 6th statement cut for my Capital One QS and I received my Credit Steps increase. Originally I had a $500 credit line and was supposed to have a $250 Credit Steps increase after 5 on-time payments.

Well, thanks to the advice here as noted in my previous post, I received the $1,000 CLI after 60 or so days and then tonight, another $500 so my credit line is now $2,000! 

I know others have done better but I'm very happy considering originally it was only going to be a $750 card.  I'm pretty bad about keeping a high balance but they still like me.

Note account was activated 1/22/16 and CLI was granted 3/22/16 - 60 days old is the magic number. Don't bother trying prior to 60 days after opening the account.

Yes, you would have had the same results online.

Thanks so much for the replies you guys! I really appreciate the encouragement!

Now I just need to get rid of my Cap One Secured and go for the QS1 since I was denied for already having the 2 cards! With the new 6mo rule I'll have to wait since I haven't had the QS quite 6 months yet.
