Capital One can't find my original application--Please help

Good morning,

I recently PFD Capital One on an account that was charged off.  However, when they wrote back they enclosed a letter that said they can't find my original application.

They did send my last three statements. When I talked to a rep she said that I could pay the remaining 866 from the charge off, however they didn't put it in writing.  I am not going to do this without a letter and terms.

My question really is if they can't find my application should I send this to the CRA? What does this violate?

Never send money without a PFD in writing. I am confused on how they can't find your app but have no issues sending you statements.

You could try mailing a dispute and a copy of the letter to the CRAs stating the account is "not mine".
