Just received a letter from CapOne....the late was NOT deleted.
This is so frustrating, I think I've spent well over $100 just in stamps on GWs, but NOTHING is falling off.
I just got off the chat with capital one and since my account is labeled "restricted" technically open but I can't use it, they can't follow the normal channels that they would. I have to call an account specialist to see what my options are. Sounds like I'm never gonna get this removed.
Just got off the chat as well- they said they couldn't remove my late because they can only access the last 6 months of activity on my account.
I called monday to get a late removed from about 6 months ago. I also had issues with over the phone payments where they had my acct number wrong to my bank. They hit me with a 30 day late. I have sent a goodwill letter and did an online dispute. Got their generic acct is accurate letter both times. called twice and was told they would dispute it and recieved the same letter again and now monday I finally asked to talk to the supervisor and was transferred to another lady who said she could see exactly what was going on and would request a goodwill delete. She said it should be off my score in 60 to 90 days.... I have a feeling im gonna get the same letter...
Would appreciate any back door numbers or emailaddress's to cap1
No such luck for me...a specialist told me they are unable to delete late payments unless an error was done on their part
Captial one totally deleted mine over chat! It works. Had two 30 days past due and I got an awesome agent to help. Loved that you can print the log so you have it documented. Thanks for the idea, I would never have thought of this on my own!
