Re: Capital One "GW" Phone call

wow! did you call the backdoor number? The last time I called C1 for something the person was extremely nice and helpful, but have been dragging my feet on calling for a GW. I only have 1 late on each of my 2 cards and they are 4 years old. maybe i should give it a whirl!

Jarred - how long ago where your lates? I'm thinking about calling and asking for a GW request for 1 30 day late showing on my account. Also is your account PIF? Thanks

Re: Capital One "GW" Phone call

my last late was 3 or 4 months ago. thats one reason i was so shocked, she put me on hold for two minutes then came back on and she said to give it 60-90 days and they would all come off. so i repeated myselft two or three times to make sure she understood what i was saying.but if they fall off in a few months ill let ya know... because im still not gonna get my hopes up about it.

Its not pif, ive got  a 300$ limit on the card and currently  have a 275$ balance

Re: Capital One "GW" Phone call

Just got off the phone with capital one they agreed to remove the 30 day late from my account. My account was closed in good standing. Just got tired of the yearly due and outrageous interest rate. Customer Service Rep said it may take 60 to 90 days. And I'll have a letter in the mail stating they would delete the 30 day late from all three credit bureaus. Thanks..

Re: Capital One "GW" Phone call

may i ask how you guys went about asking? did you just simply say you were calling to inquire about a goodwill removal?

Re: Capital One "GW" Phone call

I called and stated I wanted to see if I could get some lates removed because it was affecting my fico score, as I was in the process of applying for a mortgage. She asked why I was late I gave her a sob story... She agreed to send it to the bureaus updated showing no lates.

Re: Capital One "GW" Phone call

I guess I have to call while I am working. I tried calling the CS # and was told that I need to contact the Account Specialist department since the regular customer service only has access to 6 months worth of info. And my lates are from 2005.
