Capital one cli?

My income is 60k a year with out my wife.
Ive had 2 capital one cards for 5 years now. Both
Started with 500 cl.
Back in april they finally moved me to quicksilver cards. And uped my cl.
New cl 800, 1000.
My current myfico score are 640, 647, 647

When would be a good time to ask for anthor cli on these cards and do they both need to be at a zero balance first. Owe 100, 215. On the cards.
Also have a amex everyday blue card with a zero balance that i got in may.

CapOne will let you get one about every 6 months.  I say go ahead and ask. No you don't have to be at a zero balance.

Will it be a hard pull or a soft pull. I would rather not have a hit on my report for inquiry

Hit the button for Credit Line increase (LUV Button) on the website - then it's a soft pull.

Actually - its really not a "pull" at all. Cap One does regular soft pulls, and CLI requests made online are based on their last regular soft pull.

I just did both cards. Got cli on both of 1000
New cl 1800, 2000.
I quess things are moving in the right direction

Thank you everyone. Next question. How does the cli request work with amex. I got it in may and have been at 500 cl since. Is it a hard pull or look at last like capital one

You can try AMEX as soon as you get the card and ask for 3x your current limit.  (through the website)

I tried - got denied -but then again - I wasn't surprised.   I didn't see a HP for it - but note - if you are denied you have to wait 90 days to try again.   

I have to wait until the end of January to try again.
