So i tried the chat with cap 1 on my two late payments about 1year ago.
they chat guy was nice but didnt remove them. He told me to call for the acct supervisor.
I called in and advised that i had two lates when i was laid off. I explained that i pay for acct protection
but wasnt aware i hade it since my account was open about 8 years ago.
long story short the rep got approval from the supervisor to remove my two lates
and issue me a $25 credit on my account. Wow i didnt even ask for cash back.
Cant wait to see if the change helps my credit scores in the next few months.
