Capitol One Charge Off 7/16

One of my credit cards was charged off this month from Capitol One. I have called and scheduled to have the balance completely paid off by 9/3/16. What can I do to reverse this Charge Off? The account is still with Capitol One and has not been sold to a CA. When I called they flat out said nothing could be done. Should I wait until I pay the balance in full to contactt them again? I have two cards with them and the other one is in good standing. Would that make a difference? It was literally charged off 15 days ago and I made payment arrangements 7 days after the charge off was reported.

Re: Capitol One Charge Off 7/16

"Charge Off" is a legal requirement on the part of the banks when an account reaches 180 days deliquent. Once it is done it cannot be "undone". Once it is paid off, THEN you can ask for GW removal of the reporting.

Cap One is a stickler for their reporting though....
