Car Reposession question

Hello, Capital one auto is dirty and we all know it. Back in 2010 they repossessed my car, sold the car and the balance was paid. We didn't owe them money, they didn't have to take us to court for the balance so we have 0 for balance. I am wanting to know if i should even bother writing a letter to them asking them to please remove that repo from my credit files. it's been almost 3 years and our scores would jump higher if that damn repo was off. any thoughts? i know it's a long shot but i am thinking about at least trying it.

Can't hurt to try. CapOne Auto finance is not the same as their CC. You may have great luck as the value of the car offset your entire balance and you did not have an unpaid balance.

+1

You might sugar-it-up by stating you want to continue business with them, and are now a desirable customer, so a little business incentive to put $$ in their pockets.
