Cell phone family plan

Does everyone on the plan get hit with a collection if the main account holder defaults ? A friend of mine was in his families cell phone plan ( Verizon ) and his dad stopped paying . Will he be responsible for the accout ?

Only if he's the responisble party.  If its in his dad's name only, he will be fine.
