I had a joint auto loan with an ex from a while back and when we broke up he kept the car. He made a ton of 30/60/90 late payments but finally paid the car off in 2012. I really need this deleted from my credit report. What are my options, if any? The car was financed through Wells Fargo.
Call the creditor, preferbly someone in management, tell them your story, preferably with copious crocodile tears, and hope they grant a good-will deletion.
