Changing debt collection law in Oregon

Hey everyone,  I am working with a consumer advocacy group in Oregon that is looking to help shape legislation to end debt collector abuse in Oregon.  IF anyone would like to testify about their ordeals with the goal of ending the outrageous abuses by debt collectors let me know. God bless

Is there pending, proposed legislation for which hearings are scheduled, and if so, what debt collection practices are under consideration?

Re: Changing debt collection law in Oregon

I remember something about Minnesota revamping some of their laws concerning credit collections, hopefully we will see a trend of states cracking down on the less than reputable firms.
