Chapter 1 of my repair Diary

I figured I'd work on getting things together on one report at a time and just hope the others follow suit. For some reason my EQ report looks the worse. I have 8 negative/deragotory items and 5 collections. All of these items are fairly small amounts so I have no problem paying 1 a week it's just a matter of getting them removed and idk which to go for first.

They're all from my start of college when I didn't know a lick about credit and just took all the cards my mom opened for me saying get credit. She didn't really explain to well or I probably wasn't listening when she explained the pay it once a month deal at least.

The negative/deragotory items

1. is a CO CC that was paid in full didn't think to ask for a PFD as its my oldest account 6 years.

2. Old paid off car loan that has 1 30 day late

3. Current car loan that has a few lates (Honda financial) I've tried the goodwill asking for deletes for about 6 months now and still nothing.

4. The other 5 are closed accounts that haven't been paid

-Midland Funding ($787) old CO credit one

-Arvest Bank 2x's ($517 & $400) for a checking and savings account Idk how to handle this since I'm pretty sure I didnt over draw the savings account. I'm guessing as for DV

-Macys ($349) DOFD 2/10 I've been working on paying this and they say its to old to collect but I can send a voluntary payment via mail -_-

-Good ol First Premier ($363), I tried disputing they updated whatever and made it worse and said they can't do anything regarding inconsistencies. I plan on calling for a PFD after work today.

Collections

  1. Medical ($206) ( I already sent off first HIPPA letter) I think I may have did it wrong though o_0
  2. Sentry Credit ($300)- OC Nordstroms I've read that as soon as you pay they remove it from CR w/o asking I'll pay this after my 2 CO'd cards if thats what seems to be the best option
  3. Credit World Services -($431) Utility but from an old address around the time I moved to a new state- I need to call to get the exact dates from the billing
  4. Ad Astra 2xs one is paid and the other is unpaid ($1300) payday loan :-( original amount was $650 and I made two payments so it should be alot less but they must charge some ridiculous interest. oh and they sent me a 25% off settlement last week -_-

All of you guys awesome knowledge would be greatly appreciated, thanks and happy new year!

On the CAs

1. We cant discuss the HIPAA process on this site but this is the order one should go after medical collections

For unpaid medical debt that is reporting on your CR:

1. Call the OC and see if you qualify for Charity Care
2. If not then ask that they recall the collection in exchange for full payment
3. Send the reporting CA a PFD offer
4. Google the HIPAA Process and contact its creator for help

For the other CAs you would first try to get the OC to recall the CA in exchange for full payment and failing that send the CA a PFD offer.
