Charge off oddity

I have an slight oddity on my equifax credit report. I have an charge off account on an fairly old cap one account from 2007. Under payment history for the last two years its shows ok under payment. Should I try and get equifax to delete it or should I just let it be since it will probably fall off next summer? Experian does not show as payments being ok for last two years, and for some reason TU isn't reporting at all.

I wondering what i should do, its the last baddie i have on my credit report. Should I just let it fall off or should I actively try and get it deleted

Re: Charge off oddity

When an account is CO'd and it shows OK in the payment history, it does not mean there were payments made.  In this case it means nothing new was reported or nothing at all was reported for those months.

Well that does make much more sense. So i guess i shouldn't really touch that account since its about to fall off. It is an bit odd to me that TU never reported late or c/o for that account only experian did back in 2007. It still shows as an charge off that was paid Does that matter at all ?

I would leave it alone.

If it is a paid CO I would leave it alone also.

May as well i tried GW letter, but Capital One is an tough nut to crack when it comes to that. I just pulled my experian credit report, is there any way I can find out the exact month it will fall off I couldn't really find DOFD or date it will fall off on the report?

EX doesn't show a DoFD, only EQ does that.

If you go to dispute the TL, a different report should come up and it will show the fall off date.  Don't really dispute though.  Just get the information and close it.  This is the only way I have ever been able to find it on EX and TU.

This is only directly from EX, not 3rd party reports.

Ahh ok thanks i am going to try that now, yes i bought directly from experian. An bit off topic but i think experian may have overcharged for the report it should only be 5 dollars for my state, who do i call to rectify that?

You would need to contact their CSR or billing department for that one.
