Charge off showing 45 times

Does this look right?

I disputed a chargeoff with Verizon Wireless.  They erased the late charges that used to show and CO in 2/08 with all charge off's in the history section.  I recently received a settlement check from them for illegal Early Termination Fee's class action lawsuit.  I would not pay the ETF and that is the cause of the original lates and chargeoff. I did pay the account until 2009.  Can I use the settlement letter to send to the CRA's to get this inaccurate TL deleted? Can they replace previously late payments with CO every month?

Re: Charge off showing 45 times

It appears to be correct.  For those months, it was a CO.

Probably not the nicest way to report.

You could GW them and ask them to remove all of those CO's comments.

Re: Charge off showing 45 times

You might file a complaint with the FCC if they don't delete.  Since the FCC found their fees were illegal and forced the refund, failure to remove credit reporting based on your contesting the (subsequently found to be) improper ETF could be another FCC violation.

This is the argument I would make in writing, CMRRR to Verizon.  Disputing with the CRA is unlikely to do anything, IMHO.

Re: Charge off showing 45 times

Well from March 2006 through January 2008 the account wasn't charged off, it was either on time or late only near the end of 2007 through January 2008 , with a charge off February 2008.

Thanks to both of you for the advice.  I followed your advice and filed a complaint with the FCC and I am now sending a letter to Verizon tomorrow.  Going to find a fax number and send it via fax also.  I would like this resolved asap.

Re: Charge off showing 45 times

I sent a complaint to the FCC and BBB.  Also I am working with someone in corporate to try to get his resolved and off my credit report.  I have statements through July 2007 showing my bill is current and on time, so I'm concurrently working with the CRA's on the angle that they are reporting inaccurately as the account as seen from above show a charge off notation beginning in 2006.  I've gotten nowhere with Verizon Wireless corporate, so I sent them an email today telling them if they dont fix it I intend to sue.  Also threw in that I would find other people in my situation and start a group to protest as well as reaching out to the media.  I hope this gets them to just delete it.
