This is a weird situation:

 

My account with Continental Finance was CO in 2008.  I ended up disputing the account with the CA (didn't know what it was at the time) and it was removed.  However, the account with Continental still remains on my CR.  How would I go about getting that removed?

Removing the CA account will not remove the OCs.  That will be done directly through the OC.

 

Is this a paid CO?

 

If it is reporting accurately, there is nothing to dispute.

Well, when I tried to pay the OC a couple of years ago, they could not find my account and referred me to the CA some kind of way.  I am able to pay it off, but I am wondering if I should DV the OC (the amount is possibly incorrect, the balance they claim is owed is much more than when the account was closed) and then PFD?
