Chase CC GW Attempt...

I had a CC from Washington Mutual that was quickly closed when Chase took them over. I hadn't ever had any late payments until Chase owned them, then I had two. The were in Oct. then Nov. of 2009 and both were 30 days late.

I sent a GW letter usining the online messaging system and got a response back in around 6 hours. It was from someone in verification it said. They informed me that because I had two late payments in a row they could not remove them from my credit reports because is would compromise their validity.

Does this mean I am out of luck or should I try contacting someone else at the company?

We had a car accident and with the $1000 deductible, plus some minor doctors bils for my wifes knee, it caused us to be late on that card.
