So I used to have a citibank airline card. I ened up going into a credit counseling program in late 2009 (which I am now completely finished with), and therefore my account was closed. It is now paid off and has not been late since 2010 (when the credit counseling program was adjusting). My question is do I (or should I even) try to call them and see about re-opening my account? It was my best card, opened in 2006, and it also had a nice CL (which I know I would not get now). I tried emailing them through my account, and it said they could not help me through there and gave me a number to call. I have a good, solid income now and even though myfico is only at 608; that should go up as soon as a new TL hits here later this month and a CA is deleted. Is it worth trying or is the HP not worth it since I probably won't be approved? I just don't want to take one step forward and take 2 back......thanks in advance for any advice.
Me personally? I'd wait. I'd let the new TL age a bit and the baddie fall off. Then I'd see where I was. It's going to take baby steps to get back up there.
Ever have any luck with CITI, I am almost in exact same situation
I never called them to ask, I have been patiently trying to get my fico up a bit higher and get some GW done before I hit them with trying to re-open up my card. I have tried to GW will them, with no success
