Ok, here is the deal. Years ago I put 4 credit cards on debt consolidation. The accounts are closed. I of course have learned that doing that was the biggest mistake of all time. 2 cards were paid off over a year ago. 2 accounts are on their way to being paid. To rebuild my credit I opened up a MC 2 years ago which has a great payment history=no late payments! Yeah!
I have 2 student loan accounts which were first opened back in the late 90's. My credit history will soon be shortened I guess. Will the credit grantors open my closed accounts or is it time for me to apply for another credit card? What should I do?
