Collection Agencies

I have two collection accounts that have been PIF and have been since 2008. I've tried sending GW letters for quite some time now. Both accounts are with the same company. The company simply stated that they had to report accurate information to the credit bureaus and they could not honor my request. I have a question, does it state ANYWHERE in the FCRA that a collection agency has to report an account or is it their own discretion? Thanks for your input!

Re: Collection Agencies

They are required to report accurate information.  There is nothing that says they have to report any information at all.

Re: Collection Agencies

Ok that is what I thought, however I don't think this CA is going to budge!
