Collection Heck on Wheels

I have a collections account that is hell on wheels to deal with.. I've tried to settle with them to no avail.    Should I pay in full or accept their offer.  Either I can pay $700 or $400 with an item return.  I had a contract with these people after a year the item would become mine.  Now they are saying that's not the case. Any ideas?

it was for an instrument.  they sent me a letter a few days ago, stating that they are "willing to accept the return of the instrument as settlement in full of this entire debt.  this debt will be considered settled n full with no further obligation owed".  Does this sound like all i have to do is return the instrument?

ok I tried to ask this company to remove from credit report.  everyone else... remove... the CA... NO!!!  uuuugggghhhh!

After submitting a dispute with Equifax, the horrible, the collection item was removed.  Now my USAA CMS score  for Equifax shot up to 656!!!! But when I log into Equifax site it shows my equifax score is 495??????  WTH!!!  is that normal to have a 160+- point difference?

both are FAKOs and are based on different scoring models, so they will be different. FAKOs are best utilized for trending purposes.You can obtain your true FICO here @ myfico.
