If a collections original date is 7 years old and 1 collection agency had it can they sell it to a new CA? Is this just a cycle? Or aftr 7 years it's gone?

A CA can sell it to another CA before and/or after the 7 year reporting period. However, DOFD can never be changed and a debt reported by a CA cannot remain longer than 7 yrs from DOFD, whether sold or not. After 7-7.5 yrs, a CA must be removed.
