Collection Question

can a CA report to my CR after i have paid a debt if it was not reported before i paid?  can an orginal creditor if itthey have never reported before?

 

fyi: it was a cell phone company and only a few years old.  it's definitely within the 7.5 year period.


Starting Score: TU: 655 EQ: 701 (12/2010)
Current Score:TU: 673 EQ: 701 EX: 675 (2/2011)
Goal Score: TU: 720 EQ: 750 EX:720

Yes they can both report, even if they didnt report before you paid the debt.

 

As long as they are reporting correctly and if the debt isnt over 7 - 7.5 yrs old.

 

You can try sending a GW letter, asking kindly if they would delete.Smiley Wink

Thanks for the response, even if it's not what I really wanted to hear.  I've got a couple of things already planned just in case they do put it on my CR. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what their next move is.
