Collection Questions

Ok, so I've pulled all my credit report from all 3 bureaus, and I'm trying to figure out what the SOL is for each of my debts, both accounts and collections. I'm a little fuzzy on the laws here. Which states determine that? The one in which I reside, the one in which the OC or CA are located?  I would assume it can apply to all states connected to debts, but then there is the added fun where an OC still owns the debt, but is in a different state then I currently reside in AND a different state then the CA that is also reporting. How do I determine the SOL with all of these possible factors? Thanks.

Re: Collection Questions

Use the SOL for the state you currently live in. If you lived in another state when you opened the account, check that state as well.
