Collection Reported As Late - Portfolio Recovery

I have old (4 years ago) charged-off accounts with Portfolio Recovery. These accounts appear on my report with a payment status of "late." Can a collection report as late? I've never made a payment on this account since it's been with Portfolio Recovery.

Any collection is, by definition, on a delinquent debt.

There is no official reporting status/code of "late," so that appears to be a designation provided by whoever sold you the creidt report.

I would suspect that the debt collector has not reported a monthly delinquency, such as a 30-late, to the CRA.

Debt collector reporting does not provide for monthly delinquencies.

Can you post a screen shot of the objectionable reference to being "late"?
