Collection account

I have one collection account on my credit reports for $50

If I call the OC and pay it what should I do to get it off my reports?

It was reported to the CRA by an CA.

Re: Collection account

Does the OC still own the debt, or was it sold to the reporting debt collector?

Re: Collection account

As far as know they sold it to Debt collector

The Debt collector  reported it to CRA

Focus Financial is the name of the Debt collector

Re: Collection account

If the debt collector now owns it, you no longer have a debt with the OC, and thus they cannot accept payment.  They would be out of the picture.

You would make a PFD offer to the debt collector.

So then pay them and ask them to recall the debt from collections.

I'd make sure any agreement is in writing first.
