I had an unpaid collection on transunion. Attorney sent a debt validation letter and they updated the balance to zero. I did not pay it. I called transunion and they said would you like to dispute? I went ahead and said yes. It has on,y been two weeks since that call and I got a letter in the mail today that it has been deleted. Any guess on how many points I will gain? The collection was atleast three years old. I am trying to wait to pay to pull my score until a recent 30 day late on one of my cards will be removed from may 2011. Wffnb said they would delete it but I know it takes time.
