So I just received a collection notice for a 4 year old debt that I didn't even know existed.
It's from EASTERN ACCOUNT SYSTEM OF CONNECTICUT, INC sent by COMCAST. The bill is $135 and I haven't paid yet.
How should I go about this guys? It's on my Experian and I'd really like it removed.
Send a Dv first.
I really don't mind paying it as long as it gets taken off my report. Having said that, should I just go ahead with a Pay for Deletion letter?

No, you want to verify that the reporting CA has authority to collect and that they can validate it. The PFD is your last resort never your first.
And if they don't get back to me within the next month?
