Collection on a paid account, what do I do?

I was notified of a collection item added to my Experian credit report. It's for a item which was paid and I do have a copy of a check I wrote to them.  How should I approach this situation?  Your advise is appreciated.

Who did you pay? The CA or OC?

I paid the OC who has it own collection department, the company is Resident Data.

Did you pay before the current CA that is reporting begin reporting/collecting?

 

At any rate, I'd DV the CA reporting.
