Thanks everyone, I definitely feel like they are intentionally trying to screw me because they were not able to verify this and collect. I have filed a CFPB dispute with them directly, as well as one for each CRA reporting it.

Depending on how that works, what's the best route to go with legal action on something like this and will it be expensive & time consuming ?

You could also go back to that same BBB agency and let them know the CA hasn't complied with the action that was promised.

 

I would also give the CA a copy of the new letter to the BBB.
