Hi!
My score Beacon 5.0 from my mortgage broker was 610 from Experian. The collections were from 2012 and 2011. I needed to go up to 640 so I started PFD and was able to have four collections removed. I just checked my score from FICO and now my score is down to 565. Why would this be?
Now I am even further from my goal
I should note I had two credit cards there are currently in dispute. Is it possible these are not being factored into the score ?
What type of collections were removed? This is strange, unless it severely cut your AAoA and you have other baddies on your CR.

Definitely... it has removed certain aspects of the OC's TL and are revolving accounts which compromise 35% of your total score.
These were medical collections, 4 of them. There are still two collections left.
The two credit cards are still in dispute so hopefully it will go up once this is complete.

Then absolutely no, those would not cause a drop. The disputes on the 2CCs are the culprit then.
Congrats on the 2 removals, now go get the other 2!
Actually it is 4 medical accounts that were removed.
The two left are Midland Funding - First Premier cards.

Well then, double congrats. Now go after the other 2.
Very bad news..the dispute ended and First Premier (which were charge offs) were removed from my credit report completely. Score went down again so now the Midland collections are on there but not the original accounts.
Is this normal? Does this mean that disputing the Midland collections for these may come off also?
Not necessarily, the removal of the OC does not mandate removal of the CA.
