How would I go about a PFD request . Who do I call , what would I say ? .....Smiley Happy

contact the original deter and ask them if you can PIF the debt with them in exchange for a PFD, i have learnt that most will. feel them out as to whether you want it in writing or not, a lot of people will say don't do anything without it in writing, but in my personal experience ive noticed that i was able to feel them out by how our conversation went over the phone

You should first determine whether the debt collector currrently owns the debt.

If so, then any offer to pay must go to them.

If the OC still owns the debt, then you may could contact them and request that they terminate their assigned collection and accept payment directly from you.

If they agree, you dont need to obtani a PFD from the debt collector, as they would then be required to report deletion of their collection based on termination of their collection authority while the debt remained unpaid.
