Continental Credit - Security Finance

Hello everyone, 

 

This is the last baddy on my report.  It's a charge off from Aug 2008 (unpaid $222) that I have attempted on many occasions to PFD to no avail.  I don't want to pay and have them update making it a new CO by scoring standards.. Any suggestions?

I would try to hold on another year for it to be deleted...Did you DV first? If it is your only one, you may see a bump in score just by paying if off.

It's the original creditor from my understanding can't DV those right? I would pay it off but afraid it will bring the account current (renew/update) to the current date causing more harm than good. I may just be stuck sitting on it another year as much as I don't want to.
