CF is still reporting a balance on an account from 2007 that they sold. I disputed and this account was verified as correct. I sent a complaint to FDIC. FDIC sent me a letter stating that CF is now closed. If they are closed how can they be verified?

That's exactly what you are going to ask the CB's when you call them. And after they answer, you are going to tell them that you will be filing in court against them for violating the law. The FDIC 's ruling is listed on the website. Anything pertaining to this institution must be deleted.
