Also looking for the info...wife is trying to get a collection we paid years ago off the record. Not too mention we have 3 accounts with them over $2k per month right now.. I think GW shouldnt be a problem.

Here was our letter / email to Credit COntrol

I am writing on behalf of a previous credit paid in full to your agency nearly 4 years ago.  Account #2091122077.  I recently noticed that this is still reporting on my CR, even though all debt has been satisfied between credit control& Cox (Cox was paid specifically). 

I am writing to see whether Credit Control Corp would consider making a goodwill adjustment to the credit reporting bureaus this satisfied account. I am asking whether Credit Control Corp would remove the adverse collection, paid in full immediately in 2009 from this account in reporting to the credit bureaus. We understand this is a rather unusual request--particularly as it dates back many years.  Please note that I have also sent copies of this letter to ACA International & Cox Communications.

Response:

I have requested your account be deleted from the bureaus.  It  can take 30-45 days for them to update their files.  CCC does not view your credit file so I suggest you check it again to be sure the bureaus have removed this item.
If they fail to do so in a timely manner please dispute with whichever bureau that is still not deleting so they can take care of that for you.
