Credit Card - Missed payment report varies and I am confused

Hey!

So I was looking at my husband's credit report again, and he has one account for a credit card that he hasn't had for awhile.

Here is how the delinquent payments report:

Transunion - doesn't report any lates at all (?!!?)

Equifax - Reports it as late from March to July 2009, with the worst showing as 120 days late

Experian - Reports it from march to july with it as a charge off in July 2009

1. Why is this reporting differently amongst the three credit bureaus?

2. When will the lates on equifax come off (7 years or is it that 7 years plus 180 days business??)

3. When will the charge off come off (again, 7 years, or 7 years plus 180)

4. does that clock start at March 2009 or July 2009?

5. Are these impacting his score? are they going to go up at all when these fall off?

Starting Score: January 2014 Experian: 713 Equifax: 668 Transunion: 691
December 2015 Score: Experian: 766 Equifax: 751 Transunion: 759
October 2018 Score: Transunion:735

Was the account charged off, or was it brought current and closed?

Re: Credit Card - Missed payment report varies and I am confused

This is one of those things where disputing the inconsistent rpeorting could help or it could hurt. No way to know which way it could go. Its old enough that verifying the data could be problematic, but if they DO verify it, you going to end up with MORE derogs put on there.

Personally, I would let it be and not dispute it.

The individual lates will be excluded as each one hits the 7 year mark, and the entire account will be deleted no later than 7.5 years from the DoFD, as reported by the bank. You can see the DoFD on your Equifax report, but you need a full report either directly from EQ, or from annualcreditreport.com

Ok, thanks!

We were never considering disputing anything; just wanted to know when they would fall off. He has a few lates like this all from the same time, plus 4 collection accoutns (3 from that time). Anxiously awaiting their removal...
