Credit Cards question

So I have a CapOne card. Date due is 20th.  Got an email 6/25 saying my statement was ready.  Does this mean that the statement is generated on the 25th of the month?

I ask bc I am trying to figure out when/how they report.  Assuming the due date is the 20th and the statement date is the 25th could I assume that anything left on the card after the due date of the 20th is what would be reported?

Scenario: $500 CL card.  Say I have a balance of the full $500. I pay $250 on or by the 20th.  Then I pay the other $250 a couple days later but before the statement generates on the 25th.  Would that statement show the balance as $0 since it was paid before the 25th, when the statement was generated?  So ideally CapOne would report a $0 balance when they report.  I have noticed on this particular card it seems like they report on the 28th every month.
