Credit Dispute/Repair Software

Has anyone had any experience good or bad using Credit Dispute/Repair Software?  If so, which ones worked for you and which ones were a waste of money?  Thanks in advance for your advice! Smiley Happy

Re: Credit Dispute/Repair Software

The first question I would raise is whether the seller of such software is considered a "credit repair organization."

If so, as it would appear, then any assistance they provide, including forms for your use, would limit their use only to disputes made through a CRA, and not direct disputes.

The implementing rules for the direct dispute process, as set forth at 16 CFR 660.4, include the provision that if any direct dispute appears to have been filed with the assitance of a credit repair organization, including the use of forms they provide to the consumer, it can be dismissed without any investitation by the furnisher.
