I think the answer lies in your first post. Like many of us, you seek an improved credit score, yet you know what is holding yours back currently.
Would a credit builder loan help, somewhat? Perhaps. Enough to be worthwhile? Personally, I don't think so. I think the efforts (and money) are better spent working towards PFD if possible, or saving for a traditional loan in the future (car, home).
