If it's reporting monthly, how would I go about stopping it? PFD? When a baddie reports every month, say it was opened in 2008, does that mean it will come off in seven years from the date it was opened, or when it last reported?
Seven years from date of first default, which can be estimated as the first 30 day late leading up to the charge off. If it's being reported every month you can PFD or settle it to stop the reporting.
Adding six months of credti history adds to score primarily by increasing your age of accounts, which is a minor part of your score.
Length of credit is only 15% of your score, and AAoA is only part of the 15%.
I would not expect much score increase until the derogs begin aging off.
Monthly delinquencies each become excluded separately no later than 7 years from their dates of occurence.
DOFD only establishes the begin of the exclusion period for a repoted charge-off or collection, which is additional to any reproted monthly delinquencies.
