I opened up a Fingerhut account back in Nov. to help rebuild. Of course they put me on the Fresh Start program. I ordered a ShopVac. It showed up as an installment loan and it did help with my credit. Now its nearly May, I paid off the Fingerhut purchase about 2 months ago. Ive made big improvements to my score, up about 100 pts average with TU and EQ nearing 700, we just got approved on a house earlier this month and hopefully will be closing next Friday. Now along comes Fingerhut changing my account over to a revolving credit account, it shows as a new account and drops all my scores around 12 pts. To top it off, they gave me a toy limit of $300. I appreciate the thought, Fingerhut...but go away now.
