Re: DCU for Banking, etc

I just applied for their free checking today and I didn't know they pull your credit report/score for membership. Do you think I'm gonna be approved if they can't get my EQ score since I'm only on my 5th statement with Capital One?

you haven't seen an answer yet? I'd venture a guess that you'd need to wait the 6 months for a score to populate

  • Starting total revolving credit: $1100 | Current total revolving credit: $36,700
  • Inquiries (12 Months): EQ 2 TU 1 EX 1 | Most Recent: 1/21/2014

DCU Visa $10000
Capital One QS $2000
AMEX BCE $3000
Lowe's CC $8500

Re: DCU for Banking, etc

I applied a couple of minutes before posting here. I was told by email to scan id/paystub and email it back to them. I got an email back telling me to wait 2-3 business days for review and process of my application. I hope I didn't just wasted another inquiry for nothing....

Re: DCU for Banking, etc

I guess that begs the question, if an inquiry returns no results, is it even a hard inquiry

Re: DCU for Banking, etc

Good afternoon eviLution,

Thank you for your paystub. We have completed your application and have ordered your DCU Platinum Visa credit card. Due to the paystub we recieved, the limit will be $1,500. Please be aware, you can always apply for an increase in the future.

When I called I was given a $2000 CL, but then I recieved this email later with the lowered CL. I'm still happy that I finally got my first unsecured CC with only 5 months of credit history thanks to Capital One. I'm happy Smiley Very Happy

lol all you need is 580 for a membership you'll do fine, besides that jus get a secured card at the sametime in person so you don't waste it. They're a great bank and unsecures itself. They have good rates and Fico04 EQ score will save you $240 a year and possibly more if they ever raise the price on this site =)   you should be in the rebuilding stage anyways so this is ideal imo. I wish I would've got them last year when my credit was still in the crapper =)

Old thread but is a 580 still all that's needed for a DCU acct?  I know it also depends on other factors.
