So a few years ago I decided to use a Discover card for a transfer card....bad idea, I know.
So I threw it onto a DMP that I was using. The balance started at like 1.2K. Now its down to 833.
So here is my question -
Should I...continue to pay the DMP and just deal with it like that
Should I...attempt to call them and negotiate
Should I..barrage them with GW's?
I definitely don't mind continuing to use the DMP, but I would like to clean up it's "status"

What documents/commitments did you sign/agree to as part of your plan?
Just a set amount, plus small fee (literally), as far as the DMP.
Discover, the normal paperwork.
A guy from Discover called me a few months ago wanting to negotiate. I just called them back a few minutes ago and got some foreign chick who had no knowledge of that call.
bump
I had a DMP program many years ago. It hurt me bad, and when I questioned their payment methods, they dumped me saying I was in shape to fix the rest myself. Which I did. I prefer handling it myself. I paid Discover off, every penny. It's been 3 years, was thinking of reapplying for a new card.
Well the plan isnt that bad.....very easy to deal with, its just the fact that Discover has once called me in reference to settling up with them - the thinking is they would rather deal with you directly than a DMP.
