DOFD..???

i keep hearing the DOFD, which i take means day of first delinquency...but can i get a explanation why that day is so important? and how it will tranfer to a CR or a CRA?

DOFD = Date of First Delinquency.

This date is important because the 7 - 7 1/2 year reporting period begins with it.
