Sorry I am a little confused. Everything I read says to validate the debt first, what if 30 days has passed since you received a collection letter? Do you still validate?
I want to pay them in full, but would like to try and get a pfd.
By the way it is non-medical and I live in North Carolina but accumulated the debt in Maryland. Both appear to have the same SOL's. These debts are both past the 3 years SOL for the state of Maryland/NorthCarolina.
