sent DV letter to a account that was on m?y wifes report that we belive is fraud we sent it certified and was recieved 5/6 still no response is it accurate that they have 30 days to reply? IF they do not reply what is next?

Even if a DV is sent timely, they do not have to respond.  Ever.  They just cannot continue collection activity until they do.

Texas is the only state where they can send a DV and it must be answered within 30 days.

If they do not respond and you believe it is fraud you can file an FTC Fraud Affidavit.  http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/resources/forms/affidavit.pdf

I reviewed my wifes CR that the account was reporting on and it is now gone?

They probably deleted it.
