We recently pulled her credit report and yesterday we received a letter from a lawyer saying the collection had been transfered to them but they havent looked into it yet but they had an offer if settlement for 50%. This collection is before we were married and she said that it was from an auto accident and her auto insurance was suppose to cover it. What should we do? The bill is $1900 and we cannot pay it all at once right now. Thanks
also the collection is still within my states SOL.
