Date opened after Date of last activity?

I've got a couple of older collections in which the date first opened is after the date of last activity. For example, one says the date first opened is August 2013 and the date of last activity is February 2009. Another lists the date first opened as November 2009 and the date of last activity is August 2007. What gives? This stuff is so confusing. I can see why people just say screw it and give up.

I would presume that the last activity date being shown for the DOLA was the last reported activity by the OC.

Date opened for a collection is the date they received collection authoriy.
