Debt Reduction Plans

Anyone have any good debt reduction plans? I plan on making payment arrangements with the last 4 collections on my account to either Pay in Full to Delete or Payment Plan to Delete.    At the same time I will be paying down my credit cards to reduce my UTI.  Thanks in advance

Re: Debt Reduction Plans

Make a budget and stick to it! I found out I wasted nearly $700 a

Month on eating out or other random

Impulse items. Last two months I stuck my budget and paid $1400 off my cc debt.

Re: Debt Reduction Plans

I have a monthly budget. I meant are there any tips on ways to pay down debt. Like pay one at a time or pay a bunch at a time. and trickle down the payment once a debt is paid.

Re: Debt Reduction Plans

To get the biggest bang for your buck, throw the most you can at the debt with the highest interest rate and pay minimum on the rest. When the highest interest rate debt is paid off, then start on the second highest, etc.

To get the greatest satisfaction in seeing the debt get paid off, throw the most you can at the debt with the lowest balance. When that one is paid off, go on to the next lowest. That will dwindle the number of debts you have, and there is satisfaction in seeing them drop one by one.

To increase your FICO score, start with the debts that are hurting your score the most.

In other words, there are various ways to go about it depending upon your goals.
